How
Listeners Sign Up
Your listeners sign up on their cell phones. They'll get a welcome text right back.
See how easy
it is: Text to DOTNET (368638)
WTSCORES
Right away,
you'll get a text asking you to reply picking the school's info you want. Do
that and answer two other questions. You'll get a welcome confirming your
signup and advising how to stop future messages if they change their mind.
(That protects you from fines for spamming.) Then your listeners will also get
a message for the subscribed subject, the score of the game or info about
upcoming games.
Every listener can subscribe to as
many topics as they want. For one flat rate, you can send as many messages as
you want...to as many listeners as you want...with as many subscriber lists as
you want...as many times a day as you want. You won't get any surprise bills.
How To Send Texts
Enter your
messages from any computer on the Internet, from your studios, office, remotes,
homes, PDA or anywhere. If you have access to an Internet computer or
smartphone, there's no equipment to buy or phone lines to add.
Here's a demo
site where you can send yourself a sample message. SMS Text to DOTCOM (368266)
TextWXYZ
You'll promptly get a message asking
which of the topics you wish to subscribe to, reply with your pick of the
numbers. Also, follow other instructions you'll receive by texts on your cell
phone to finalize your signup.

Textcaster is
amazingly easy to use. You can send news or messages to your listeners at any
time. Type in your content and it's on thousands of phones right away.
Click on one of the first of the boxes
labeled CHANGE. Then type something new in the message area and the CHANGE
button will now be labeled UPDATE. Click on the UPDATE button. The message
you've just created will quickly be received by everybody who has signed up to
this subscription.
Send as many
messages as you want...to as many listeners as you want...as many times a day
as you want. Unlimited messages are very affordable--probably a fraction of the
price of our competitors.
(Listeners
who are on an unlimited texting plan won't have any extra charges. Those on a
per-message plan will be billed by their cell provider.)
After you've sent a number of
messages, reports showing listeners' cell phone numbers and number of messages
sent per topic will be available.
You probably know that cell phone messages are short, but with our system you can send as many messages as you want in succession. Of the 140 characters, our system automatically uses 24 for "Reply S to unsubscribe." This protects you from spam law problems, as the fine for sending messages without it is $11,000 per message. Note that your station or advertisers creates and sends all the messages. You'll need someone covering the game with a smart phone or laptop on the Internet.
